Why this site runs referral links at all

The Emerald Mile exists because UK Tesla referral information was thin, US-centric, or hard-coded to a single owner's link. We built a proper reference instead — and we fund it, in part, by rotating fair-share referral links rather than by ads, sponsored posts, or selling data. That's the entire business model, stated once, up front.

How the referral relationship works

The referral codes and links on this site belong to real Tesla owners who have agreed to be in our rotating pool. When you order a new Tesla through one, the owner receives Tesla Credits from Tesla, and you receive the buyer benefit (650 free Supercharging miles, see the benefit breakdown). It costs you nothing extra and does not change the car's price. All such links carry rel="nofollow sponsored noopener", so search engines know exactly what they are.

Fair rotation, not one owner's link

Rather than sending every visitor to one person's code — the way most single-owner referral pages do — we rotate codes at random from a pool so link-outs are shared fairly. The code shown server-side by default is one real, valid code; client-side JavaScript then picks one at random from the full pool once per page load, and the same code is used consistently for the visible text, the copy button and every referral link on that view, so they never disagree. Any finance links

If we ever add a leasing, PCP or home-charger link that earns us a commission, it will be clearly labelled as such and carry rel="nofollow sponsored". We deliberately keep finance content in its own labelled section rather than blending it into the referral tool the way some competitor pages do.

What we will not do

We won't hide that a link is a referral link, blend an undisclosed affiliate pitch into editorial content, invent a programme figure to make the offer sound better, or accept a sponsored post that contradicts a verified fact on this site. If a figure is genuinely uncertain — like the exact referrer-credit amount — we say so and decline to guess rather than round it up to look more impressive.

“Tesla”, “Model 3”, “Model Y” and “Supercharger” are trademarks of Tesla, Inc. We use them only nominatively, to refer to the products. The Emerald Mile is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. Nothing on this site should be read as an official Tesla communication.

Accuracy & corrections

We re-verify every programme figure against primary UK sources before each publish and date each page honestly — we only bump a “last reviewed” date when we've actually re-checked the facts, not on a schedule. If something is wrong, out of date, or you spot a source we've missed, tell us via the About page and we'll correct it promptly and note the correction.
